We roped up for an adventure that would etch this majestic landscape permanently in my memory. With Natura Vive, DS Adventure Travels took on the adventure of the Sacred Valley Via Ferrata & Zipline, experiences that provided breathtaking new perspectives of the Sacred Valley that I deeply admire.
Ascending the Via Ferrata
The morning air was crisp as we approached the imposing rock walls that define the Sacred Valley’s geography and are ideal for rock climbing. Natura Vive expertly set up the Via Ferrata Cusco route, making the vertical climb both safe and exhilarating. During the ascended we crossed a bridge with a 50 meter abyss, that I faced and smiled right at. The thrill of being suspended on a vertical ladder, with only iron rungs and a safety cable, was exhilarating.
Ziplining Down the Valley
Reaching the summit was only half the journey. The descent was even more thrilling, involving a series of six ziplines that whisked us across the Sacred Valley. Contrary to my initial expectation of a single zipline, the multiple lines provided a prolonged amazing adventure, each one offering a new flight path over the breathtaking landscape. The longest zip sent me soaring over treetops and creeks, a rush of wind and adrenaline accompanying every meter traveled: a true adventure sports adventure and definitely the best zipline Cusco has to offer!
