Langkawi is home to 99 stunning islands, each with its own unique story. On an exhilarating island-hopping tour with DiinaLangkawiFun, I discovered a couple of these islands’ breathtaking beauty while zipping through the turquoise waters on a speedboat. The combination of adrenaline, the splash of the waves, and the striking scenery made this an unforgettable adventure.
The first island we visited was Pregnant Lady Island, named after its silhouette resembling a pregnant woman lying down. But the resemblance doesn’t stop there—inside the island lies a round freshwater lake that adds to the likeness. Walking around to the lake, surrounded by lush greenery and cheeky monkey’s, I felt like I’d stepped into a hidden paradise.
The second stop was all about eagles. We didn’t step off the boat but instead marveled at the spectacle of these magnificent birds in action. Eagles soared above us and dove with precision to snatch food from the water that other boats tossed in. Seeing so many eagles up close and witnessing their hunting skills was an awe-inspiring moment.
Our third and final island was pure paradise. The soft sands, blue waters, and the option to swing from a tree while admiring the surroundings felt like something out of a dream. Most of the group chose to swim, but I couldn’t resist exploring the rocky shore. My little adventure led me to two breathtaking and calm beaches, interesting seabirds, and some stunning rock formations.
The highlight of this exploration was finding a large, beautiful shell. Unlike the ones sold in shops, this shell has my story. Holding it in my hand, I knew it would always remind me of this incredible journey, a memory to cherish for years to come.
