Diving for Beauty and Purpose in Nha Trang

Free clean-up dives, snake-like sea cucumbers, and colorful coral! I experienced the beauty of Nha Trang’s underwater world with Rainbow Divers.

Some dives are beautiful. Others are meaningful. And sometimes, like with Rainbow Divers in Nha Trang, you get both.

On Friday, Dreamstarter Adventure Travels joined their special clean-up dive — a free third dive where you’re given a bag and sent underwater to collect trash. It might sound a bit odd, but it’s genuinely fun and strangely satisfying. There’s something noble about diving with a purpose, knowing you’re giving back to the ocean while exploring it.

Of course, the regular dives were just as fantastic. I saw so much underwater wildlife I’d never encountered before. A whole army of sea urchins — some with striking, evil-looking colors and even what looked like little eyes. Sea stars everywhere, from thin-legged ones to massive chonky ones that looked like underwater pillows. The highlight was a spotted worm sea cucumber. At first, I thought it was a sea snake. It was long, sleek, and moved in that slithery, mesmerizing way. Just incredible.

The dive Nha Trang was a mixed bag of corals, some dead patches, but also huge swathes of vibrant living coral in all sorts of colors and shapes. It’s still a paradise down there, but you can tell how important it is to protect it. So if you’re thinking about diving, come soon and help make a difference.

Between dives, Rainbow Divers really made us feel taken care of. In the morning, there was a ton of fresh fruit. Then after the second dive, a big Vietnamese-style lunch. And throughout the day, coffee and tea were available to keep us energized and warm. All of this was included, and the price was almost the cheapest I’ve seen in Nha Trang — a seriously good deal for what you get.

It is the meaningful mission of Dreamstarter Adventure Travels to stimulate people and companies to preserve our playground. It’s hopegiving to see that companies already combine adventure sport adventures and making a  positive impact. If you’re looking to dive Nha Trang, I can fully recommend Rainbow Divers.
